Collective Academy, Camden Collective

Peer-led coding academy with a focus on web development. Curriculum included: version control (Git), automated testing, agile practices, data visualization (D3.js), and web-server programming (Node.js).

Lead developer in a 4-person team contracted by Camden Council to build a service for finding local amenities and live information about street works. Researched relevant technologies and planned implementation. Managed responsibilities of team of 4 other developers. Ensured project delivery successfully and on schedule (3 months).

Helped start a cooperative with the aims of providing free, full-time coding courses and helping course graduates to find employment as web developers. Planned and delivered course curriculum. Researched and adapted the structure of the organization over time. Awarded Young Cooperator?s Prize for innovation. Featured in The Observer, Forbes, and Computer Weekly.
